The goal is to ensure each size of an element is derived out of the size of another element. The math and relationships should be very simple.

This is an ongoing effort which we will improve on as we continue to design.

Using this systematic approach, this ensures data aligns better vertically and horizontally on the page. In particular, this calms down information dense pages, making them more legible for the user.

Again this is an ongoing effort which will create siginificant improvements in the coming month.
